Could this happen to you?
Imagine this happening to you: You are recovering from a major neck surgery. You are just about ready to get back to work next week, so you take a little outing. While parked at a gas pump, your car’s battery dies. The lack of driving for a while has taken its toll on it. You are standing in front of your parked Blazer, awaiting a friend that’s nearby to come and jump it.
Then you hear something behind you. As you turn, you see it: a big red Ford F150 slamming into you, from behind. It’s pinning your legs between it and the front on of your vehicle. And still pushing!
Finally, he backs up and you collapse. The larger femur bone is poking out of the skin. Blood is gushing out. It is everywhere. You did not know this much pain was even possible.
You are rushed to the local hospital. The friend is not allowed to take your car by the police and it is towed away.
Your injuries are so severe that you have to be transferred downtown to the level one trauma center. Then the surgeries begin. It is unknown if your leg will one day ever be usable.
You are losing wages, after just being off work for medical leave. You are in pain, you have no idea what else is going on, and you have no idea where your car was taken.
Mr. Peel and his staff are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. The environment was inviting and not intimidating in the least. They make you feel like they truly care about you and your case. Mr. Peel answered any questions I had without making me feel like a burden or a dummy. I would definitely recommend him for your personal injury law needs.
Still Investigating Liability? Why?
But hey, the insurance company of the negligent driver who caused all this will take care of it, right?
Well, not exactly. Day 31 following the crash, the insurance company is not exactly being a good neighbor. They have not paid to get your vehicle out of storage. They have not yet “accepted liability.”
What are you to do?
